Training

Are you aged 7-14? Then join Nottingham Falcons Youth Korfball

Nottingham KC is looking for new players to play this fast-paced sport – we’ve lots of opportunities for players right now! Nottingham Korfball Club is a well-established sports club with players of all ages…we are currently looking to expand the number of players and teams. So, if you’d like to have a go at korfball, simply come along (perhaps with a couple of your friends) to training on a Tuesday evening, in the main sports hall at Rushcliffe Arena, Rugby Road, West Bridgford, NG2 7HY (term-time only).

U9s and U11s: 6-7 pm (School years 3-6/ KS2. Players in school year 6 may be invited to join the later session)

U13s and U15s: 6.30-7.30 pm (School years 7-10/ KS3 + KS4. Players aged 14 + may be invited to train with the adults, leading to local league games)

For that last half-term of the school year (after the June half-term holiday) we train outdoors – WEATHER PERMITTING! – on Greythorn Park, outside Greythorn School, not far from Rushcliffe Arena. With it being on grass and loads more space, we can all train at the same time, 6.30-7.30pm

Korfball Skill Awards

Nottingham Falcons Youth Korfball offers its players the opportunity to attain Korfball Skills Awards. They are designed to ensure players learn all aspects of korfball. There are four levels and they are roughly linked to the Key Stages children follow at school (so KSA Level 1 is easiest, with KSA Level 4 aimed at teenagers). To see what is required for each level please go to our Documents page. An example of veering movements can be found on the Videos page!
